Project Description

Search-In Estore is a complex multi-vendor grocery marketplace app. The challenge was to connect buyers with the nearest vendor based on serviceable pin codes while managing logistics for delivery. Innovit Labs built the core geolocation logic, commission allocation engines, and delivery analytics to power this hyperlocal ecosystem.

Problem

Managing a hyperlocal marketplace involves complex logistics where timing and location are critical. Customers often struggle to find vendors who deliver to their exact location, while platform owners face chaos trying to manually calculate commissions and coordinate deliveries across hundreds of independent store owners.

  • Problem 1

Managing delivery zones for hundreds of independent vendors created logistical chaos and high cancellation rates.

  • Problem 2

Manual commission calculations for vendors and delivery partners were error-prone and slow.

  • Problem 3

Customers struggled to find stores that actually delivered to their specific location in real-time.

Solution

We engineered a location-first architecture that serves as the backbone of the marketplace. The system automates the logic of connecting the right buyer to the right seller and the right delivery partner, handling all financial splits and logistical assignments instantly in the background.

  • Solution 1

Developed a geolocation-based assignment engine that dynamically filters vendors based on the user's live GPS location.

  • Solution 2

Automated the financial splits, calculating vendor payouts and delivery commissions instantly upon order completion.

  • Solution 3

Integrated a real-time logistics dashboard allowing the admin to track order velocity, rider heatmaps, and delivery times.

Design Process

We follow a structured UI/UX design process focused on research, strategy, and seamless execution to create digital products that engage users and drive business results.

Workflow Scenario

A user opens the app and is instantly shown stores within a serviceable radius. Upon checkout, the system splits the order value: sending the product cost to the vendor's wallet and the delivery fee to the logistics partner. The vendor accepts the order, and the system automatically assigns a delivery partner based on the optimal route, ensuring the fastest possible delivery.

Search-In Estore now operates as a self-sustaining marketplace. The automated logistics and financial logic allowed the platform to onboard 200+ vendors in the first month without administrative friction. Delivery efficiency improved, and the hyperlocal targeting ensured a near-zero rejection rate for out-of-zone orders.
